Dating from 1345 which makes it one of England’s oldest hostelries,
the half-timbered Star Inn was fully refurbished in 1998 and is in Alfriston’s
centre - ideal for the South Down’s Trail, opera at Glyndebourne or the Newhaven-Dieppe
ferry. Facilities include a restaurant for traditional meals and a bar serving
