The Grove is a 4 Star Wales Tourist Board graded guesthouse, bunk room and licensed restaurant situated on the outskirts of Newtown in Powys. Newtown is a popular place for visitors to Wales because of its central location. Many choose The Grove as their base for exploring this beautiful region with activities such as fishing, golf, riding, bird watching, walking, quad trekking, pony trekking, go-karting and paint balling, all of which we can help organise.

Also within easy driving distance is the very scenic Welsh coast, Clywedog Dam, Lake Vyrnwy, Snowdonia National Park, Powis Castle, Montgomery Castle ruins, Llangollen and numerous other famous historical landmarks.

The Grove Guest House is a modern property constructed in 1995.
We provide a hearty full breakfast, and a selection of fresh locally produced home-cooked food.
We are confident that you will enjoy our varied menu in a warm friendly atmosphere.
Dawn, our resident Chef, can arrange to satisfy any requirements when it comes to special dietary needs, and we have had rave reports from people who have taken advantage of our three course evening meal at a price of £25.00.
During the summer months our rear deck and bar is popular for alfresco dining, barbecuing, or just relaxing and enjoying the views.
We have a small heated plunge pool which is great fun when the weather is good.

We also offer a special 'WOW!!' weekend for four people in our bunk room; two nights, bed, breakfast, evening meal, all-inclusive at a cost of £110 per person.

We can also arrange events for the adventure minded.

Our residents lounge and lots of fun is all part of the package, just relax and let us spoil you and your friends...

Accommodation at The Grove is comfortable and convenient with a touch of luxury.

Our two main rooms have king size beds. Our new spacious bunk room has two sets of bunk beds, a lounge area, microwave and fridge. All rooms are en-suite, and have thermostatically controlled radiators. Standard equipment includes complimentary tray, colour television with video and satellite, hair dryer and clock/radio alarm.

The Grove sits in half an acre of ground and is located just off the A483 trunk road from Manchester to Swansea. It is approximately half mile east of Newtown towards Welshpool. From Newtown, take the A483 signposted for Welshpool and turn right at the Morrisons store towards the recycling centre. Turn left if coming from the Welshpool direction. Continue up Wern Ddu Lane, past the green and yellow re-cycling centre, (this is not a dead end!) under the small railway bridge and take the first turning on the right which is signposted. Turn right again almost immediately and pull into our driveway. We have ample car parking space.

A 3 course evening meal is available at a cost of £25.00 per person.
2 courses - £20.00.

Served in our Conservatory Restaurant, Dawn, our resident chef, uses quality seasonal local produce to create a varied menu of fresh home cooked food.

Vegetarian and special diets catered for.

Corporate guests are very welcome and can enjoy a peaceful evening, wi-fi internet access and a drink from the bar if they so wish.

We offer an invoicing service for companies that do not wish to pay by cash or cheque.

At the present time, we do not have credit/debit card facility, however a cheque made payable to The Grove Guest House or BACS payment is acceptable.

The Grove is available for business meetings, dinners and private functions for small groups, whether family or friends. Our restaurant is available in the evenings to non-resident guests, and residents can invite other people to join them for dinner.

We are unable to accommodate pets.

Smoking is not permitted in the house, but we have a covered smoking area for cold & windy days, and smoking is permitted on our outside decks when the beautiful Welsh sun is shining.

We can offer mini bus transport to and from the town centre or bus/train station and airports.

We have ample private parking for several cars.
