Situated on the main road into Newcastle City Centre from the
A187 (Tyne Tunnel). and are 10 minutes from the centre by taxi, and
the same by using the modern Metro system, Hadrian Road Metro station
is directly opposite our hotel. Friendly attentive staff and a relaxed
atmosphere are the main attractions of our hotel. We have a bar and
a restaurant (our restaurant is closed Friday & Saturday evenings), ensuring an enjoyable stay with us.
All our bedrooms are en-suite, with colour TV and private dial phones
along with tea & coffee making facilities.
We have ample car parking. Newcastle is rightly famous for its bustling
nightlife, equally famous is Whitley Bay and our hotel is situated
in the middle of the two. As well as the Metro Centre, Newcastle Eldon
Square has a huge variety of shops to keep the dedicated shopper happy.
Newcastle has an excellent range of museums and art galleries as well
as the Centre of Life which the millenium dome it aint. There is always
something spectacular happening at the Newcastle Arena, from Rock
Concerts to Ice Hockey, Newcastle Theatre Royal is home to the touring
Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as all the latest productions from
the West End. We are half a mile from the new Segedunum Roman Fort
museum which is a major attraction in the North East, because it is
the last fort on the famous Roman Hadrians Wall, this is why it is
named Wallsend, a full sized bath house is an interesting feature
of this ingtriguing site. The walk along Hadrians Wall from Cumbria
to Wallsend, open by the end of May 2003, and many thousands of people
are expected to complete this walk in its entirety, more details are
available from the tourist board.
Please note there are two Hadrian Roads in Newcastle. One is in the West End by Wingrove Road, we are in the East End going directly to the Tyne Tunnel A187.
